Shubh Labh

According to the Mudgal Purana, Ganesha is married to the Brahma’s daughters- Riddhi (prosperity) and Siddhi (wealth).

Shiv Purana gave the reference of Lord Ganesha had two sons Shubh (auspiciousness) and Labh (profit). Shubh is referred as Kheshma in many scriptures.

Shubh was born from the Ganesha (Wisdom) and Ridhi (Intellect), and Labh was born from Ganesh (knowledge) and Siddhi (spiritual well being).

It signifies that one can have the blessings of favorable conditions in the life or can say that one can start any auspicious work when its Intelligence is guided by the wisdom. Similarly, one can gain profit or can do well in the business or job when its knowledge is blended with spirituality.

Few scriptures even mentioned that Ganesha had one daughters ‘Santoshi Maa’.
