Saint Kabir was born in a Varanasi Muslim family. He was the follower of spirituality and religion in very young age. Saint Kabir Jayanti is perceived as a favorable day dedicated to Kabir Das.

A major turn had come into his life when he started to follow the teachings of Guru Ramananda ( a 15th century Hindu Guru) who marked the name Kabir Das. The most difficult part of Kabir Das's life is that too impossible to categorize himself as a Brahmin, a Sufi or a Vaishnavite. Always, Kabir Das used to describe himself as the child of Allah sometimes and as a child of Ram during other times.

In his whole life, Kabir Das corroborated such a unique distinction of not following any particular religion because it has created a confusing state among people as to term him a Hindu or Muslim. He is known for the credit of artistic acuity with which he used to express divine feelings with a pretty arrangement of words. Ordinarily, Sant Kabir Das was a clothier who spent most of the time at the loom, but the way that he had woven magic in the traditional realms of Hindus and Muslims equally.
